Excavation and management of PCB impacted soil along Hancock Brook in Waterbury, CT
- Work required the shoring of the river edge, removal of the embankment, and reestablishment ofwetland vegetation in accordance with an approved wetlands management plan.
- The work required the installation of approximately 150 LF of sheet piles to allow for excavation ofthe streambank and dewatering of the excavation area.
- Once the impacted water and soil were removed, the riverbank was restored with compactible graveland dressed with bioretention soil.
- The site was overseeded with a New England Wetland mix and appropriate plantings of wetlandplants
